@damselfly59 The right-hand front wheel came off my manual wheelchair and dumped me onto the driveway. I was mostly just badly bruised but the ankle that hit the ground was fractured in two places. As I stood to transfer between things I was stuck unable to do anything until my home was changed to have a hoist etc. So I spent 3 weeks in hospital. My outpatient appointment to check everything and remove the cast is on the 23rd.
@Mandypar 😱 That is horrible! So glad you are doing better! 🤗 I don't have the sympathetic hug emoji, so please excuse the cheery one.
Do you have a ground to chair/bed lift/hoist or a transfer hoist?
@damselfly59 A transfer hoist. It is across the ceiling from my bed to where whatever chair I want to use can be placed. If I want to use the toilet I can go to a commode chair which can be placed over the toilet.

@Mandypar Morning Mandy and all. Yeah, still grey and pissing down here. Summer has been a no-show so far. Even my heating kicked in the other night!! Thunder and lightning today. Deep joy. Here's hoping for an Indian Summer yet!

@Mandypar Morning Mandy! We are thankfully having a little rain here as well. We all survived the 4th of July holiday with its fireworks -- I'm dog sitting and the one dog is absolutely petrified of fireworks, poor thing. I'm hoping tonight will be quiet; legally speaking it should be, but people don't always obey laws, so we shall see.
