ON this date in 1948 - The term "cold war" was used for the first time.
It was in a speech by Bernard Baruch before the Senate War Investigating Committee.
Actually, Mr. Baruch had overheard a conversation between Bun Man and Mr. Purple where Bun was describing his recent marital discord w/ his 4th wife.
Bun uttered..."It's chilling sometimes, but then we have great make-up sex; it's like a cold war."
Mr. Baruch just took a little editorial privilege.
