ON this date in 1648 - The Holy Roman Empire was effectively destroyed by the Peace of Westphalia that brought an end to the Thirty Years War.
Reading this, Mr. Purple asked a fair question, “Given the US has been at war now for 20 straight years, is now involved in more wars than even strategic planners thought possible at any given time,

And has a military personnel population which has only known combat tours and minimal rest before the next tour, do you think we’ll get a Peace of Westphalia?”

Bun continued “Little Buddy, in 1648, nations didn’t know war could be profitable; in 2016, American business knows war is profitable, peace is not, don’t look for peace anytime soon.”
