ON this date in 1739 - Thomas Coram was granted a Royal Charter from George II so a "hospital for the maintenance and education of exposed and deserted young children" could be built in London, England.
Hearing this from across the room, and apparently mistaking what was said, Bun Man rushed home for his Rain Slicker.
When he returned to the local pub, Mr. Purple saw Bun resplendent in just his raincoat.

Bun Man was devastated; although he did flash a couple of lasses on the way home from the pub...
