Morning Peeps,
ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS HOMERS EVER
ON this date in 1960 (I was 10 at the time) - The World Series ended on a home run for the first time.
Bill Mazurowski's homerun allowed the Pirates to beat the Yankees.
I actually watched this on TV while at my cub scout meeting w/ Bun Man and Mr. Purple at Mrs. Crosby's house in Nanticoke Annex.
At the time, I was a Yank fan but never during the Steinbrenner era.
@Madken65 I'm ok. Still hoisted and not standing - I managed 8 minutes in a standing frame on Friday before I passed away (I mean out) lol How are you?
Bless you Lady, doing okay, going to hang up working though...I can't handle the rampant variability that is a golf course and its management...too shoddy for my liking and for my mental health (I just get too angry, and it ain't pretty)
So, after playing today, I am going to pen a resignation letter and give them notice.
You are a ROCK, Princess...
And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last
When all are one, and one is all, yeah
To be a rock and not to roll
YOU NEVER ROLL!
@Madken65 Morning Dr Ken the Mad 🙂
