ON this date in 2017, Sometime, it's a nature story, sometimes a nurture one, today a nurture. ...so I'm wheeling Mom out of the breakfast room this morning, and we normally say "good day" to the other residents as we depart.

Clearly a little torqued by the engagement, Mom retorted sternly "Good morning, (XX)...
Once we got in the hallway, she turns her head and says "What do you think he'd do if I said Good morning, asshole..."

There is particularly one 'gentleman' which Mommy has no affinity for and he knows she doesn't so he periodically will engage her as she passes by his table. This morn, as she passed, he said, "Good morning, Mabel" in a slightly sarcastic tone (I am here daily so i am familiar with residents' tone in utterances).
