ON this date in 1898 - Spain declared war on the U.S., rejecting America's ultimatum for Spain to withdraw from Cuba.
Cub reporters for William Randolph Hearst, Bun Man and Mr. Purple were already in Havana.
The Boyz, skeptical of the war's start due to their familiarity w/ Hearst's shenanigans, soon left and returned to the states to join up w/ Teddy Roosevelt.
