ON this date in 1828 - The first edition of Noah Webster's dictionary was published under the name "American Dictionary of the English Language."

Co-editors Bun Man and Mr. Purple (although Noah stiffed the Boyz on the royalties) remember Noah, when he concluded the book, saying "I have no doubt that common citizens will continue to mispronounce and poorly define most of the words in here, particularly when social media hits in the 21st Century."
