ON this date in 1969 - Anita Bryant and the Lettermen appeared at a "Rally For Decency" in Miami following Jim Morrison's indecent exposure onstage there.

The Doors' managers, Bun Man and Mr. Purple wanted Jim to attend the rally as the 'decent' thing to do.

Jim replied, "The most decent thing I could do for Anita is not attend."

So, Jim didn't go and neither did the Boyz, but the very next night Bun Man built a campfire and burned all his Lettermen Albums (peeps, we had vinyl records back then).

Bun had the last laugh because he secretly kept his Best of Bread 8-track tape hidden in the VW tour bus.
