ON this date in 1881 - Barnum and Bailey's Greatest Show on Earth opened in Madison Square Gardens.

Bun Man and Mr. Purple, B&B roadies, were enamored of the show and the stars.

Bun fell for the lady on the flying trapeze while Mr. Purple fell for the Bearded Lady.
