ON this date in 1821 - The Philadelphia College of Apothecaries established the first pharmacy college.

Bun Man and Mr. Purple, who at the time fashioned themselves druggists, sent applications to the college. They were summarily rejected.

The response from the college was pointed. Sex, and drugs, and rock and roll aren't necessarily prerequisites for Pharmacy College.

So, the Boyz took this, made it into lyrics and sold it to Ian Drury and the Blockheads who made it an underground hit.
