ON this date in 1942 - The New York Yankees announced that they would admit 5,000 uniformed servicemen free to each of their home ball games during the coming season.

Sgts Bun Man and Mr. Purple, returning from a short tour in Africa, took the Yankees up on the deal and attended one of their games.

The Boyz, since they were from Delmarva, rooted for the Orioles and the Orioles won that game.

F#$K THE YANKEES!
