ON this date in 1801 - The U.S. House of Representatives broke an electoral tie between Thomas Jefferson and Aaron Burr.

Jefferson was elected president and Burr became vice president.

Bun Man and Mr. Purple, aides to TJ, laughed hysterically at the outcome.

Apparently, it didn't sit well w/ Burr as 3 years later, this led to his infamous duel w/ Alexander Hamilton who would die from Aaron's bullet.

That bullet ended Burr's political career as well.

Oh yeah, Burr was the US Vice-President when the duel occurred.
