ON this date in 1929 - The "St. Valentine's Day Massacre" took place in Chicago, IL. Seven gangsters who were rivals of Al Capone were killed.
Bun Man and Mr. Purple, lieutenants in the Genovese family (one of the 5 families), were supposed to be there also but a winter storm delayed their arrival.
When the Boyz went back to their hotel, their 'dolls' were very surprised to see 'em, so Bun and P took out a hit on their own. The Boyz didn't have trouble w/ dates after that little episode...

@Madken65 This! is my Valentines day thought. I was once stupid and romantic and got married on this day. Ugly divorce and many years latter this is the only fitting image left.
Interestingly, my first marriage, the Mikster is Wife #3, we got married two days after my birthday and one day after hers.
