ON this date in 1542 - Catherine Howard was executed for adultery.

She was the fifth wife of England's King Henry VIII.

Court Jesters Bun Man and Mr. Purple, while there was a break in the action, discussed the consequences and Bun said "It's a good thing Henry's callin' the shots; if the shoe ever gets turned around, I'd hate to see what the ladies do to us..."

Mr. P agreed as he dashed off to 'greet' one of the other ladies of the court.
