ON this date in 1958 - Little Richard entered Oakwood College in Huntsville, AL.

This was after he announced that he was giving up rock & roll so he could serve God.

Fellow students Bun Man and Mr. Purple were also there after they had given up their wicked ways.

The three of them became fast friends and soon found they didn't really need to give up all their 'badness' and they found their way back to what was in their blood.
