ON this date in 1980 - Paul McCartney was released from a Tokyo jail where he had been imprisoned for nine days after trying to carry a half pound of marijuana through customs at the Tokyo airport.
Beatle's managers Bun Man and Mr. Purple tried to tell the local constables the pot was theirs, but to no avail.

Bun privately told P "What was the dude thinking, a 1/2 lb., WTH, SMH...the Japanese leg of the tour wasn't that long!!"
