ON this date in 1899 - Humphrey O’Sullivan patented the rubber heel. Bun Man and Mr. Purple, on the Beatles' staff in the 60s and responsible for ideas, came upon this historical Highmark and helped the Beatles in 1965 develop Rubber Soul.

A folk rock gem, the album expanded the Beatles' musical vision and paid homage to the Mikster w/ the song 'Michelle'.

I still sing it to the Mikster before she dozes off to sleep each night.

Don't know why her head is always under the pillow though...
