ON this date in 1974 - Bad Company was formed by ex-members of several groups.

Those groups included Free, Mott the Hoople and King Crimson.

Paul Rodgers considered joining Super Heads in Time (S.H.I.T.), Bun Man and Mr. Purple's seminal garage band, but after the audition, Bun turned to Purple and said "The cat can sing, this totally changes what we're about..."

So, Paul joined Bad Company and the rest is history...
