The reality of Fox News' relationship with Carlson — and the conduct they were willing to not only ignore but defend — is important. Fox News is entering a critical time renegotiating its fees with cable companies. It is likely to argue that Carlson's firing is a signal that the network is becoming more responsible and, therefore, more attractive to advertisers.

Call your provider and ask for a package that doesn't include Fox
They probably don't have one, but if enough people call (and email) it will give them leverage to reduce their payments to Fox
@Madken65 The conduct they were willing to ignore is born of profitability. I once told a friend if a salesperson was hitting their stretch goals in my company and they could also be a potential felon? We wouldn't have pursued their criminality at all, that's a matter for the courts, how much did he make us last quarter? That's the fortune 100 friends.
@Madken65 yeah this. I don't think they will, but they could always hire Carlson back, like a heel in professional wrestling. After a little period of penance. Give him a slightly different persona.

I haven't watched any Cable news since I left the Pentagon in 2011.
Fox News currently charges about $2.18 per subscriber, higher than any other non-sports channel. Vanity Fair reports that Fox News is trying to push that number much higher to over $3.
If Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch get their price, they will increase revenues from cable subscribers by $500 million or more per year. That means millions of cable subscribers who never watch Fox News will foot the bill for Fox News' lies.
