ON this date in 1973 - After hearing impassioned pleas from Delaware Senators Bun Man and Mr Purple, U.S. President Richard Nixon imposed price controls on oil and gas.
This was probably the only good thing Nixon did during his Presidency.
We need a little of this Nixonian action right now.
