What’s your take on a thirteen year old attending medical school? There was an article about this last week and my opinion is she’s too young by almost 10 years to be moving into a profession that makes life or death decisions.
@sistersib that’s a common reply, that she’s smart and I don’t think anyone is disputing that. My concern isn’t her intelligence it’s her lack of life experience and ability to process information. There is a reason we don’t let 13 year olds drive or drink or vote. Just being smart isn’t enough.
@Macinewa
Thirteen is entirely too young for medical school. I'm sure she's epically brilliant and she needs to be well challenged. Probably the best outcome is for Bill Gates to offer her 50 million dollars to develop a community health project of her own design (with advising). After 5 years, she would no longer be a minor and would have a vast amount of experience to inform her career.
@Helical_Code I’ll give Bill a call
@Macinewa
I think Thursdays are his days for ad hoc meetings.
@Helical_Code 😂🤣😂
@Macinewa I have mixed feelings about it. But face it that 13 yr old has a lot more sense than a hell of a lot of people in this country
