I do very much miss Strax, though. I am sure I am not the first to say he would have made an excellent, and hilarious, companion.

@Graci
I will continue to pace myself! You know, I thought I was getting to the point in my life where I had run out of obsessions, but I may already need another "Don't Blink" tshirt...

@Graci
Yeah I liked him immediately. Maybe TMI here, but at the time I watched those two eps I was in a really bad place emotionally and, I don't know, he just made me feel better?? I mean, he IS a doctor! But the joy he brought to it was a much needed distraction. I might have to race thru the rest of the back catalog to get to his season.

🎧 Molly Payton, "YOYOTTA". Ahh, Molly Molly Molly. What a journey this kid has been on. I've been watching her career going on three years now, I've heard her stories, her struggle to even GET to this album, the canceled tours, the homesickness, the broken heart, and she has poured it all into this debut album of REMARKABLE maturity. It's sweeping and cinematic, full of the wide open spaces of her NZ homeland. Just a big record, in sound and in heart.

From what I've been told - the writing for the 13th doctor left much to be desired. I actually watched the 60th anny specials and the first 2 eps of the 15th doc and thought "wow this is really really amazing" - so I stopped, did my usual research, and went back to the re-boot. Trying very hard to pace myself (no more than 2 eps a day and a few days break sometimes). But already looking forward to starting again.

@Graci
I just finished Series 8, EP8 "Mummy on the Orient Express". It's taking me a wee but longer to "like" the 12th Doctor, especially since 9 thru 11 were so instantly likeable. But I do appreciate Peter Capaldi's grumpier take. He's not having fun the way Matt Smith's doctor did so clearly there is something weighing on him. This is my very first pass thru Dr Who, btw. I find it revelatory, not just as sci-fi, but as entertainment. Can't believe I waited until my late 50's to watch it!

Up before 0500. What the hell with my brain? Guess I'll fire up the next episode of Dr Who and get an hour in on the exercise bike. Then I have a long list of releases to check out. Late middle age sleep patterns are a serious clusterfuck.

I’d like to see the words “vote for” in there too.

I know it’s not novel thinking in this space, but regarding the :Asshat: blowjob “re-truth”, every single republican wife, daughter, and mother should be asking themselves, their husbands and their sons “are you ok with this?”

@SaltyVeruca @ExecutiveFunction404 @Gladari @elbutterfield
Thats not to say I wouldn’t be front and center to hear the evangelical illuminati say “maybe we were wrong about abortion….VOTE TRUMP!”

@SaltyVeruca @ExecutiveFunction404 @Gladari @elbutterfield
Talking to MIL today - we were speculating that in his mind, he is going to be POTUS. Its not a question to him. So there are no consequences. He can lose the evangelicals and the crazies and the military. He doesn’t need anybody. In his soup-brain, he already is the president.

@ExecutiveFunction404 @Gladari @elbutterfield
Probably yes. But thats a slippery slope for them too. At some point they are going to have say “we dont agree with this but we’re still voting for him” and it's gonna look….weird.

@Keysalagain
i think they should have one of the female cast members do it, like Chloe Feinman, just to piss him off.

@LnzyHou
Fingers, toes, and all other crossable things crossed, my friend.

Every time I think "today's the day Kamala is going to falter", she gives a speech like this one in Savannah, expertly addresses protesters, and stays on message. I think I love her. And I really want her, specifically, to be President.

@Gladari
It is, as @elbutterfield says, a "sure jan" moment. And it also really puts him at odds with his coveted evangelical following. Now he publicly pushing back on TWO of their sacred tenets (national abortion ban, IVF ban). Curiouser and curiouser.

Mike Johnson must be feeling so many...many many things right now. This is like the girl he has a crush on asking him to pay for her abortion.

Trump says he wants to make IVF treatments paid for by government or insurance companies if elected
