Just arrived from the UK! My wife bought me one of my favorite albums on vinyl. Its been bouncing around the US for the last week (Chicago-Marietta-Pensacola- Indy???) but it finally made it.

The Joy Hotel, “Ceremony” (Blue/Red/White splatter vinyl).

We were really enjoying the short format. Especially since we watch a lot of football (american and euro) and those games take hours. Really looking forward to more.

Count me in the "only now discovering" camp. We watched all the rugby matches this weekend and we are hooked on this sport now.

Your first post: you were warmly welcomed and pointed directly to the user guide.
Your second post: you shit talked a site you'd been on for less than 15 minutes.
Your third post probably won't ever happen because you most likely don't even want to be here.

Cool to see birthday wishes for Geddy Lee on COSO today. As I age - I have less and less use for "heroes". Geddy inspired me to be a better songwriter and bass player, and how to be a good bandmate. Approaching 60 - I don't really idolize people anymore. But I read Ged's book this year and felt a kinship with him - what his family endured and how our childhoods were very similar, and how music rescued him. Happy Birthday, Gershon! I'll spin a little RUSH (still one of my favorite bands) today.

🎧 Paul Weller, "66". The Modfather celebrates his 66th bday with an album of modern-English pop. Collabs with Bobby Gillespie, Noel, Suggs, and others add to the usual variety of moods Weller has employed throughout his solo career. From soulful tracks like "Nothing" and "Soul Wandering" to more folkier songs like "I Woke Up" and the near Floyd-like "Burn Out" its a really fine listen - sophisticated and totally enjoyable.

Floor is where my daughter’s gymnastics career effectively ended. Its brutal (although the beam is THE most dangerous).

Checked out some Olympic skateboarding. They should add some real life tricks. Evading the property manager, 3 pts. Humiliating the Karen, 4 pts.

Was AG Kamala too soft on crime? Or, was she too tough? America can’t decide, apparently. It depends on who you talk to.

Hoopla is all they have. Their extremism is becoming a parody of Puritanical dogma. Anything that isn't a button down white shirt and tan pants is satanic and therefore offensive. I laughed out loud during certain parts of the ceremony knowing how triggered they would be.

Well, Killer Klowns is on so I guess cooking will have to wait.

1. That is one badass cauldron
2. Wheres the pic of Snoop sparking a fatty off the torch?
3. Celine singing Edith. Lovey.

Watching the re-run of the opening ceremonies and its the Frenchest thing I’ve ever seen. Kind of wondering though, if the parade of nations is in order of local spelling, why does “Etat Unis” still go at the end? Anyone know? Oh and giving Snoop a media credential and a microphone is genius.

Her coaches still approach training that way (we've heard of several girls dropping out after over-training - a former teammate of DD withdrew permanently last week after fracturing her back). If you've got kids in organized sanctioned athletics, stay vigilant and don't be afraid to ask questions regardless of being told to "let the coaches coach". Simone Biles came back on her own terms, we need to let our kids set the pace of their success. 2/2
