I'm looking for some further input here. I have firetv black screen shows signs of power.. my small dog got a hold of the remote but not actual damage visiaully but now the tv won't turn on. I have - unpluged for 30 seconds, - tried different outlet, - swap batteries in remote remote gets warm and batteries get warm. . my thought is to get new remote but still the tv should still turn on .. the last thing I did was tell the tv go go in to sleep mode.

When this happened to me, i disconnected the ac from the back of the tv for a while and then reconnected and turned the tv on manually. Im sure you've tried that though, thats what fixed it for me.
@MPCavalier yes , I forgot to mention this but the app doesn't seem to detect the tv
