Cindy! Very nice use of the form. I love that your first line is gentle - "grace", "embers" - and then that turn to the second line gives us a whole new energy with "rips". When we get to the civility of the third, we're left to question what else lurks between humanity's illusions of order and calm. :)

I gambled on an old English word today, so this was tricky:
