Every now and then I find myself looking for even a smidgen of self-awareness, contrition, and desire to make right what's been made wrong from A Certain Public Figure. It just hurts to see such a blatant spectacle of wasted time in the cosmos in our news media day in and day out.
The impulse comes out of empathy, and also the knowledge that no amount of earthly "justice" is ever going to atone for all the harm he's done.
The impulse comes and then... I have to find it a more productive home.

@MLClark I've been coming to a point where I am embracing concepts like non-dualism and equanamity.
For years I have struggled with the idea that there is no true way to apologize. "Take a stick, break it, throw it in the woods, now apologize. What changed?"
That has haunted me, but I've learned that while there is no fixing a lost moment, or a past error, I can choose to do the best I can, now. Its who we choose to be now, that sets the tone for tomorrow. We can always change course.

@MLClark Methinks that person is starting to enter his "bunker" phase. Last night was the opening scene of "Downfall." Pretty soon we'll see parodies of him ranting about pets being eaten by immigrants.
