@MLClark I'm not invested in the franchise, but I'm excited that you're excited! Does that make any sense?
It does! I often find people's passions highly infectious - not enough that I love the thing that they love, but enough that I love that something brings them joy*!
*I mean, with a few obvious exceptions for people whose passion is doing harm to others. No love for that "love".
What's moved you to delight most recently, in the way of nature, art, community projects, or the world?
@MLClark Eh, not much to report other than enjoying the community here (not to minimize). Things are just kind of clicking along on an even keel, which, to be honest, is just fine by me. We started watching "Unstable" on Nflix with Rob Lowe last night and it's entertaining, but pretty light. Good filler, so far. I'm at a point in my life where I kind of feel like I'm in limbo. Mid '50's, pretty established in my work. Eligible for union retirement, but it's not quite enough to live on.
@MLClark So I suppose that I'll keep on keeping on for another 6 years, or so until I'm eligible for social security, though the payments go up if I hold on til I'm 65. Wife is planning a vacation for next year to Sicily and some Other Parts of the Mediterranean, TBD! So that's something!
Not at all! I just conked out too soon last night to send along a proper reply. (You're catching me up 30 min before my alarm even goes off, though, so bodies are odd.)
Thank you so much for the sincere and thought-out response.
What I saw in it was everyday contentment, and I genuinely think it's a gift to be able to recognize and lean into the "small" pleasures of a nice, stable life.
I'm very happy to know you're doing well in such a well-rounded way, @Ironworker229. Long may it continue.
