Anyone around to pitch ideas for a first-issue title/theme for our hopepunk, solarpunk, survivalist, rewilding nerd-out of a publication? Or should we go in raw and just call it #1?! 👀

I've got a promo ad ready, and layouts for all kinds of material match-ups.
There are only 12 pages here, but that's just because these are templates waiting for juicy juicy content!
At 8.5x5.5, we're going to want 16 or 32 (one page of 8.5x11, folded over, creates four sides of madness).
I've set up an email with an easy-to-remember pw that we can share in meetings. Hope this helps to visualize the dream!

Ok these mockups look great. I agree to stick to 2 colors, one black. We can screen them to make different shades. Also the size. But not more than 64 total pages, that's 16, 8 1/2 x 11 pages. Any more require special staples. I would prefer a smaller total page number and do issue 2. Mostly for mailing issues. Also no cover stock, just good paper.

Beautiful. I'm wondering if we should only accept black-and-white photography and comics, and save the offset colour for surrounding design touches. (And the final files will of course be sent in CMYK when ready for your printer!) #Zine

I need to get back to you on file formats. It will be fairly easy to do duotones, for art and photography. But again this is dependent on my printer.

I've got that inside-cover page set up for us to add little kernels of weird wisdom or silly inside jokes, for instance, as per the goofiness of classic zines, but we could put a whole quote in, or a dream, or a prayer, or what-have you. Lots of room to fill in bits and bobs to make this zine properly eccentric!
