Is it just me, or is anyone else seeing YouTube ads of two unskippable minutes pop up more frequently these days?

Haven't seen that—that would be the end of YT for me. What I have noticed being on the increase are ridiculously intrusive ads in the middle of something, with no warning at all—sometimes even in the middle of a song. They want me to pay to make them go away, but really all it's going to make me do eventually is … go away.
@MLClark Here's how to handle that.. you back out of the video (but not the site). Then go right back in. You might have to do it a couple times. But eventually it either offers you a 5 second watch OR just goes straight to the video.

@MLClark I deal with it if I am watching a video. If it's music, I just save it as an mp3 and play it that way
Yeah, not long after they banned ad blockers, the ads got longer and more frequent.
@MLClark I find AdBlock Plus still works on YouTube, at least most of the time. There's a definite race between YouTube advertising and AdBlock programmers, so sometimes I get ads, but very rarely.

@MLClark I pay the monthly fee to eliminate the ads and still use my ad blocker on the site. I am the popup assassin.
