The episode simplifies the full regional history, but it's absolutely true that fascist governments were (and are) hyper-focussed on what people "consume" (ideas and products) to ensure uniformity of outlook and cultivate a strong sense of identity.
That said, it's a neat episode! Worth a listen to reflect on how culture is "made" in our lives--and you get to decide how you like your Spaghetti all'Assassina, too. ๐๐
