How about you folks? π
How are your hearts?
How are your loved ones?
I got a message out of the blue from the tankie in my family claiming that Holodomor never happened, so... if you're battening down the hatches this season to protect from toxic family, I hear you & I'm proud of you.
And if you've got a backlog of work this weekend? Remember to take real breaks (doomscrolling doesn't count!), try to get some nature in, and hydrate.
π€ Really glad you're still here in this mess of a world.
That is work we do for ourselves as much as for others, dratino. So glad you're able to spend some of today in reflection. It's good for the heart. π«
and g'day to you too, brave warrior.
may your days be full of light and blessings, as we engage in yet more battles with barbarians.
the war will take 3 years, be very tiring, and we will succeed only if we cling to the correct response. this according to this morning's check with the I Ching.
i reckon it's more reliable than mainstream news pundits.
I reckon you're not wrong!
Glad you were able to take some time today (and I guess as a regular practice? even better!) to sit in contemplation.
May this check-in with the world and your heart serve you well today.
i've been studying it recently and decided to try the synchronicity challenge. 3x so far, and each time the hexagram has been significant, and any changes also quite pointed.
so, if it's "mere" chance, that's ok, because it never hurts to consider its excellent advice in any case. it's another way to combine concentrating and insight.
I've been meaning to pitch an article about this, but I suspect the text matters less than intentionality - the mental routines that can come with returning to the Vedas, the Bible, Talmud, I Ching, or other such texts. I do the same with works of literature. There's a book on melancholy that I can open to most any page and find solace in - but that comes from my purpose as much as the text. The danger, though, comes from people picking Mein Kampf, etc, as their tool for focus...
yes, a text opening a world has the dangers of narcissus.
but a stronger positive narrative, mythology really, is needed to counter the regression to the magic worship of Hitler et al.
all the mythical monsters, from charybdis, sirens, circe, medusa lie in wait along the path to the summit. like Ungoliant and her offspring, they bar the way forward.
but the positive, assistive energies of the unconscious are nonetheless guiding us through through the caverns, if we follow the way.
Beautifully said, holon.
We need to be careful, always, about the mythologies we feed.
Thank you for sharing this today. π€
