I was so glad today when you shared a piece of music and theology that moved you today. My world is richer when everyone feels safe in sharing the richness of theirs. I listened to the whole song (& had some notes for the Spanish translation 🧐).

I'm so glad your communities have such a questing heart among them. I don't doubt you lighten many loads along the way--and I hope I get to hear you carolling this Christmas season! (Last year, I only heard about it secondhand.)

I wouldn't say you're "cavalier" so much as someone who knows how to live in balance. You manage a hearty love of your (excellent taste) musical interests and (dare I say?!) pecadillos alongside an astute grasp of the shit waters we're all swimming within.

The difference is that while many are wailing about how foul the stench is, you've found ways to lean into the few good winds that abide in tough times.

You're a gift to your offline communities, I don't doubt.

Thank you very much. I credit my SO with helping me achieve that balance. I was neck deep in the “shit waters” some years ago, waaaay too far out in the online culture. She pulled me out of it, helped me see what I was missing, encouraged me to “find something more productive to do” in my down time that I can call my own. She said “you can wallow in everything thats wrong with the world or you can revel in what you still love about it.” Damn. She’s good. Cheers.
