Good morning. I'm salty about #TheGreenBelt
Ontarioโs auditor general released a report this week that found the Doug Fordโs government, in choosing portions of land to be developed, was influenced by developers who now stand to make billions, their โinformation gathering and decision protocols were sidelined and abandonedโ and did not consider environmental, agricultural or financial impacts of the move.

I'll be chaining myself to a tree anytime. No joke.
If I could do it all again I would've looked harder for groups genuinely committed to direct action too. Unfortunately, the filters of my professional communities only ever put me in contact with fairly centrist "progressive" actors, which left me feeling like there was nowhere to lean in to help that was actually interested in changing the system.
May you find good community in the causes you take on.
I'm sorry that happened, my friend, and I empathize with the despondency and hopelessness. ๐
It may be that I have to create said community. Sort of a 'build it and they will come' scenario. My executive functions aren't exactly tailored for that at present, but the clock doth tick. ๐
Maybe it's time.
If I ever lose the home I'm still fighting so hard for here and have to go back, you have my axe*.
*On the condition that it not be used for clear-cutting or murdering. ๐
Only for clear-cutting democratic subversion!
My bow collection is for the other schtuff. Lol
It's extensive.
Well now one day you're definitely going to have to pay the #BowTax. ๐ง For... uh... democratic transparency purposes.
As someone who worked adjacent to the firearms industry in Canada, I am all for registered weapons. ยฎ๏ธ
Oh, I meant photos, like the cat tax people have to pay when they mention their familiars. ๐ You can't just tease your collection like that!
Lol that went right over my head.
Here ya go. 100# Traditional English longbow (on top of the rack), 85# GameMaster II (Hoyt), 65# PSE Coyote (target set), my first recurve #40
Hanging on the left, one 65# PSE compound.
Custom rack built by yours truly. โจ๏ธ
I zeroed in on the Coyote. They're all beauties! And that custom rack is fantastic - although if your collection grows any further it might need some expansion too. ๐ Do you take the GameMaster II out often? I imagine the precision is much better for all parties involved in its use.
I have friends in Northern Ontario for whom subsistence hunting is real and necessary. Gotta fill up that freezer to survive some of the social downturns.
I didn't take you for a "sport" hunter, at least not in the incarnation of you I've known here. But it's good to know you can take care of your community if need be. ๐๐ป Woodworking, protein acquisition, *and* motivational YouTube videos: three key skills for the coming end of times. ๐
Deal. I'll do my best! And same to you ๐ค
Aww, thanks M. ๐
Having the means for some of those 'holy smokes scenarios' certainly gives me a bit of comfort.
Thanks, my friend. Big love
@BosmangBeratna
You're a good egg, Bosmang.
Be good to yourself this weekend, eh? ๐ค
