😅 Two older ladies tried to buy my cookies off me in the metro, and then one tried to set me up with her nephew, while the other wanted to know why I don't wear jewellery or paint my nails.
Being back in the city is hilarious.
I forget how glaringly white / exotic I appear here sometimes.
@MLClark I've never understood jewelry, painting nails, dying hair, etc. My brain thinks, "What are you hiding?!"
I'm impressed by people who present exactly as they are.
😅 I am a very "what you see is what you get" person, too - unless that's just the changeling in me, but I don't *think* I dissolve into a bucket every night... 🤔
