I'm so, so sorry, US friends. This is an awful era, and the fight back to anything resembling human decency will be long and hard.

@Jeber An avalanche is an apt description. The number of lives that are going to be irreparably harmed, on top of the number of lives that have already been irreparably harmed by the horrific escalation of Christofascist movements (via and alongside the US military industrial complex of the last 20 years) is unfathomable and unconscionable. What a fucking waste of all our one and precious lives, to be stuck slinging this shit out of the way *almost* as fast as it keeps getting piled on.

Privacy and personal autonomy laws will have to be eliminated to allow the coming Christo-fascist state to control the population. A sympathetic SCOTUS will make that even easier. Freedom of association will be curtailed much to the chagrin of the religious who are enabling their own demise. Gun rights will also be reduced. Can't have anti-fascists running around armed. Talk about slippery slopes, this might just be the beginning of an avalanche.
