My mother, who needs a cane but refuses it, who doesn't take two steps without putting a hand on a wall, a chair, .... Was insisting on helping clear the table and got pissed when I told her I got it, take a seat.

@Kurtroedeger @Fiikus_goddess I get this its pride or ego. I would feel a little useless if I couldn't help a little. I refuse to be a tri-ped or quadruped, except when I cant find another way around it. I crushed a vert in my lower back years ago and sometimes I cant stand w/o a cane, times I even need a walker. (@42 I was using a walker a lot) Neither of those aids has ever made it from my house or used in public. Grocery store park next to cart rack and grab a cart for support.
