In life, there are people who will do everything in their self-absorbed, negative power, to find something bad or wrong with anything and everything they encounter. They feed off your worth, invention, passion, and initiative. Don't let them trouble you, for without you, they are nothing.

Capitalism is not based on growth or prosperity.

It is based on exploiting and creating imbalance and scarcity.

Capitalism is where someone takes all the stuff, then grudgingly allows you to make things out of the stuff, then they make you buy the stuff you made back from them.

It doesn't reward labor, innovation, or efficiency. It works to funnel more and more into the hands of fewer and fewer. It doesn't give things, it prevents you getting them for yourselves.

There are plenty of through-lines in the pontifications among pollsters.

One thing, and ONE THING ONLY, has been true since the birth of democracy — if you show up you have a chance at changing the outcome.

That’s it. That’s all that’s promised. You have a chance. Now, you do. This time may be the last time, but you do still have this time.

Show up. Show them we aren’t surprised, intrigued, or intimidated by them. Show them we will always, just as we have for two decades, vote our conscience.

We should all agree that the more citizen participation there is, the better it is for the country.

Today sure went sideways. I thought I was headed out for four hours of filing and data entry then back home. Instead I wound up in the VA ER awaiting admission. It’s a long, boring story involving a numb hand a a positive Covid test. Since the hand could be the result of a stroke, I’ve had a CT scan and am getting an MRI (which I despise). Life can always throw you a curve ball. Hopefully you can catch it. Updates in due order. 😷
