Any remotely middleclass life is wasteful. I'm well aware that as one person, I generate too much waste, and use up more than my fair share of resources. To the US, to the manor born, and here we (I) am.

@gemswinc It's only as wasteful as it is, because we live in a society where printing piles of garbage is profitable to someone. We could have middle-class lifestyles not dependent on fifty layers of plastic and cardboard packaging and disposable everything.

We just don't.

I worry people are taught that doing it right is too hard and expensive, instead of how to do it right.
