Choice 3 is if you're younger and they had already banned corporal punishment in school.
@LowEndMuse My 7th grade math teacher told me "You know that to get a mule to do something you first have to get it's attention; a 2x4 works wonders for that."
I told him off, because we owned mules (Henry, Little Joe, and Bubbles), and they were smarter than most people.
Got whaled on for back talk. Mom & I never told Dad, because he'd have gone after that prick - with a 2x4.

@LowEndMuse I got Licks, Alot......they didn't like girls to speak out apparently. Fast forward 25 years I get called to my oldest school, to the principles office....yep it was HIM. He looked at me , looked at my son, and said " well the apple doesn't fall to from the tree". Fucker.....
The expelled my son. He was jumped in the bathroom by 3 boys, he grabbed the plunger, and because he used a "weapon" he got the punishment. Yeah...people really don't have much sense. Hated school. Hummmm...
