@LiberalLibrarian And yet he's a Congressman elect, and there's nothing that can be done about it unless he agrees to resign or Rs agree to expel him - which they won't because it's a lean-D district, and they'll be terrified of losing a special election and reducing their majority to 4.

@LoveAminals No. There's no authority over House membership except the House itself. Expulsion requires a 2/3 majority vote.
If Santos is convicted of crimes, Rs may have no choice... but they'll likely protect him as long as they can rather than risk a 221-214 margin.
