I have a matching set of new hips now! I just had my right hip replaced on the 28th (left was replaced Jan. 10, 2023). I have more joint pain and swelling this time, but not the nerve pain. I also had a better experience with anesthesia because that doctor listened to me this time (I have crazy reactions to narcotics). So, I didnโt almost die this time. Yay! Hereโs hoping this pain and swelling resolves quickly. ๐ฌ

When you start a business there are banks, companies, and people who will do their best to suck you dry before you get off the ground. No one tells you that. Well, this happened to us again yesterday, and we couldnโt afford that in either money or time. We were lied to, and Iโm ANGRY. We have made a new rule for our bakery so that yesterday (the effects will last for months for us) never happens again. ๐คฌ

In a few hours Iโm going to be exposed to hundreds of people. Covid has spiked, and Iโm scheduled to get my other hip replaced on Tuesday. If I donโt get it replaced on Tuesday because I caught covid, my bakery is screwed. We start to get busy again at Easter, and stay busy through the end of the year. Iโm concerned. I took a zinc pill. ๐ฌ
I baked 25 pies today. We have a big event tomorrow (Saturday), and we have no idea if weโre bringing too much or not enough. 25 pies, 5 hummingbird cakes, 6 cheesecakes, and 13 small boxes of chocolate amaretto cookies. ๐คทโโ๏ธ Itโs 8 hours, weโll cut some of that up for samples (sampling is 4 hours long), and about 1,000 people bought tickets to attend.
I cannot trust Alexa to choose the music. ๐
