A crowd gathered in the back corner of the store, browsing through newly installed, rainbow-colored shelves displaying multiple copies of some 65 books currently banned from various Florida schools. It was opening night for the shop's "Banned Book Nook," and customers with ice cream cones in one hand helped themselves to novels, memoirs and biographies with the other.

Last night I couldn’t get sleep. Between battling two roaches in the house and one of my dogs who needed to be rushed out of the house every hour, it’s been rough. I was supposed to go to the kitchen today, but I went to the vet instead. Pest control will be here Thursday to spray again. Hopefully, tonight is a better night.
I just saw my second roach in the house tonight (we get the house sprayed regularly 😳). The first one I squished to death, and the second one was in the tub so I poured 1/2 a bottle of bleach on it before I turned on the faucet to wash it down the drain (it was still alive 😳). The drain is closed and there’s bleach and water in the tub now.
I may never sleep again.
