Shouldn't the economy of goods and services be able to respond to new demands in novel ways, a free market capitalist would tell you it would, but we don't have any free market capitalists, we have controlled market capitalists who seek to keep markets working in the manner in which profits go to a few...

Its strange that it doesn't get reported very much, but free market has been helping since the beginning. But you have to understand some of those same business's were shutdown, deemed non essential, or have been hit hard by the shutdowns. everything is connected

And I agree, my point is those in power don't allow the market to fully work itself out, we (legislative bodies) put solutions in place which may or may not work and they don't even work at making tweaks when tweaks are necessary....
