@LibertySpeaks
That may say more about the sites' respective security than the issue.
@Usama_Backhair Security?
@LibertySpeaks
On CoSo you're less likely to have anyone with an agenda or a bot network exist. That being said though, the 46% number being the common sticking point for each opinion (I'm calling 45.7 effectively 46%) is very interesting 🤔
@Usama_Backhair it is interesting isn't it
@LibertySpeaks
What do you think?
@Usama_Backhair
I have my own thoughts on the subject, however, I'm more interested in seeing the replies to the 2 polls. I promise I will answer your question, just not at this time.
@LibertySpeaks
Oh, yeah...that's definitely a good practice, since you're taking the polls 👍 Are they still open?
@Usama_Backhair no. they closed yesterday.
@LibertySpeaks
I totally want to follow your findings and see what happens, but I also see an opportunity for my opinion to possibly be changed.
@LibertySpeaks Of people on twitter, people are also more likely to blame the media for doing the thing media does, reporting the sensational story of the day that gets them the most viewers. CoSoNauts pretty widely accept that the consumer decides to be, or not be, fooled by media's sensationalist nature. I mean, I think we do
@LibertySpeaks interesting... Might do a similar one over there - as I've mostly UK pro EU followers it'll be interesting to see if there's a difference if perception...
@Zailrand cool let me know how it fairs. should be interesting
@Zailrand thank you. I am guessing this is on twitter?
@LibertySpeaks yes. Very UK based/anti brexit/left leaning followers over there so it's kind of the result I'd expect.
@Zailrand The results pretty much mirror those of coso. I'm going to be getting into the weeds on this over the weekend. Thank you by the way for the doing poll on your TL as well
@LibertySpeaks yes, it's interesting but then I've been pretty harsh with followers and also very blocky so my twitter reach in quite niche I expect... Mind you, shows me that coso a good choice for me as the results are so similar... Interesting to see what UK Gov do at the COBR meeting later, might be worth me doing it again after as this was briefed this am..
@LibertySpeaks
I think all 4 poll responses are well chosen, as they all are playing a role, the extent of which we may not know for months or even years.
My ranking of responsibility based on what I currently know:
1. Govt Response
2. Apathy, Ignorance or Bias (see #1)
3. Social Media Bubbles
4. Media Narratives
I am prepared to defend my reasoning if anyone wants to engage on why I ranked them as I did.
@voltronic because I have to go to Walmart I'm not in a position to get into the weeds with this.. but I will later.
@LibertySpeaks
Arm thyself!
@LibertySpeaks
SMDH... Sigh...
