Well. This is what China just bought by making Russia a vassal state. Good luck.

@LiberalLibrarian OK, I'll bite. Why would China want to disguise copper metal as mere rock on paper and ship it to Turkey? While I can easily imagine them doing this for tech, I'm having difficulty wrapping my head around doing this for raw materials. Granted, Turkey is a good waypoint to China, but why hide metal? 🤔

@LiberalLibrarian

Yeah. Sure. Can’t wait to see Yuan notes running around Moscow.

And while not pegged to the dollar. It kinda is. Putie trying to be able to launder money through China.

Though the yuan is no longer pegged against the dollar, the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) carefully manages the currency’s value, allowing it to float within a narrow range or “band.” This exchange rate management regularly exposes China to charges of currency manipulation from critics, especially those from the United States.

@LiberalLibrarian We talk about cheap, Chinese knockoffs...now add cheap Russian knockoffs--copper as granite. Who would'a thunk? as a third world country.

@Victor @LiberalLibrarian Almost certainly, it was just stolen and the granite manifest is just misdirection.
