Seems that Robert Fico's stooging for Putin wasn't enough to keep him safe from assassination by, well, Putin. Probably an effort to cause chaos in a NATO state close to the Ukrainian border.

Gosh, LL, you read my mind. I've been sitting here wondering what the geopolitical ramifications of Fico's attempted assassination might be.
Disclaimer: I only just heard about Fico today and then people started comparing him to Archduke Ferdinand. 😬 And I was like, oh great here we go.
But this sort of sounds like maybe it's just a single unstable person with violent impulses.🤔 🤷
@janallmac If the assassin has ties to Russian intelligence, as I posted, this was most likely an attempt at destabilization of a NATO member. Ironic that Fico's fealty to Putin didn't spare him.
