What's the most chilling piece of acting I've ever watched?

The scene in "The Godfather, Part II," at the mother's funeral, where it seems that Michael is forgiving Fredo. Then the camera pans up to Michael's dead, black eyes, as he looks at his hitman. The perfect portrayal of evil.

@LiberalLibrarian While there are a LOT of contenders, that one is certainly up there.

@RationalLeft Again, this is just for my opinion, but damn. I rewatched it this morning.

@LiberalLibrarian It's not remotely as well known, but the scene in season 3 of Unforgotten where the serial killer confesses, with his smug sense of lofty superiority and control... hoo boy.

@RationalLeft Oh, I haven't watched that series. It's on Britbox, no?

@LiberalLibrarian It was, but isn't now. But it's available through PBS Passport.

I stopped after season 3, because they killed off the main character in season 4 and I thought it was absurd/manipulative. But the first 3 seasons are strong. And that scene in season 3... whoa. It's so intense it drives the detective to leave the job (for a time).
