When I returned to my library from being deployed for two years on contact tracing, I told my boss I'd start to make Cuban coffee for the staff. Well, I'm about to return again after four months deployed to another library, and I think it's time to honor my promise. Time to buy an espresso machine for work.
@LiberalLibrarian Please explain at your convenience what makes Cuban coffee distinctive. I am not familiar with it beyond the name.
@RationalLeft For one, you brew it WITH the sugar in the pot. And it's a lot of sugar. That makes it come out thicker. Now, I'm not an expert in brewing it. But I recall my mom's coffee, and mine compares favorably.
@RationalLeft I've been drinking it since I was six. Every morning warm milk with a shot of coffee, until I started drinking American coffee.
@LiberalLibrarian Which would reduce the sugar load.
@RationalLeft And of course, the coffee is packed into 2 oz., not the normal 8 oz of American coffee.
