My social skills feel nonexistent today and tomorrow I need to be 100% cheerful and peppy because we're going to an international meet-n-greet shindig where I need to appear wholesome, well-educated, and correctly represent the firm.
I really wish writing paid me enough to avoid things like this.

I will probably enjoy it while I'm there (I like meeting new people). It's just not something I'm excited about now.
But it's also an all day event followed by a blacktie dinner.
